When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile avatar. When you submit a problem, we store the problem description (up to 500 characters), any industry preference or frequency you select, and the AI-generated competitive intelligence report. We also store backing signals (notify, would pay, would build), star and follow relationships, and onboarding preferences like your role selection. We collect anonymous page-view analytics through Vercel Analytics — no personal identifiers are attached.
Your problem description is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate a competitive intelligence report. Your email is used solely for authentication and account identification — we do not send marketing emails. Your name and avatar appear on reports you publish to the Community Board. Backing signals and follow data are used to rank and surface problems on the board. Anonymous analytics help us understand which pages are visited so we can improve the product.
When you publish a report to the Community Board, your problem description, the AI-generated report, your display name, and your avatar become publicly visible. Backing counts are shown publicly, but individual backer identities are not displayed to other users. Draft reports that you have not published remain private to your account.
We use Supabase (US East region) for our database and authentication. Your problem text is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate reports — Anthropic's data retention policies apply to that interaction. Our app is hosted on Vercel, which provides anonymous analytics. Google OAuth handles sign-in. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
We use only essential cookies required for authentication sessions, managed by Supabase Auth. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics. Your theme preference is stored via a cookie to prevent flash of unstyled content during page load.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion of your account and all associated data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@proveitout.com and we will respond within 30 days.
We retain your account data and reports for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Published reports on the Community Board may be retained in anonymized form. Anonymous analytics data is retained indefinitely as it contains no personal identifiers.
ProveIt is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@proveitout.com.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ProveIt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
